Say hello to a summer staple here at the studio!
Our Art Play at the Orchard classes are a beloved summer tradition, combining everything kids love about messy play with the beauty of the great outdoors! Designed for toddlers through elementary-aged children, this class provides a fun, exploratory, and developmentally rich experience that takes place in the open field at the top of Wea Creek Orchard. Each session includes 8–10 open-ended creative play stations that invite children to paint, pour, squish, and explore in a beautiful natural setting. It’s the perfect way for little artists and their grown-ups to connect, create, and enjoy summer together.
The Importance of Outdoor Messy Play:
Messy, process-based play in a natural environment supports whole-child development. Interacting with nature while engaging in creative activities boosts sensory processing, fine and gross motor development, problem-solving, and confidence. It also strengthens a child’s connection to the natural world—something we deeply value at Flourish. Being outside allows for freedom of movement, less pressure to stay tidy, and a calm, inspiring environment for imaginative exploration.
What to Bring:
Please dress your child in clothes that can get messy, and be prepared for the weather. We recommend sunscreen, water bottles, and hats. A change of clothes and a towel might come in handy, too!
A bathroom is available on-site, and families are welcome to bring a picnic lunch to enjoy after class.
If your child has allergies, please let us know on the participant waiver and reach out to us directly so we can accommodate their needs.

Registration is only required for our child artists.
Grown-ups attend for free but must stay and play.
Class is $18 per child (sibling discount available).
In the case of inclement weather, cancellations will be communicated by 8:00 AM on the class day.
