Its that time of year again. Its time for the Annual Downtown Fullerton 4th Of july Bike Parade. This year things will be a little different. The City Of Fullerton is now officially part of the bike parade, I will still be doing all of the organization. The city is taking on the role of traffic control and helping us to remain safe. This parade has grown so much over the years that their involvement is welcome.
We will begin gathering at 9:45 at the intersection of Woods and Wilshire. Please congreagte to the west side of Woods and to the east side of Roosevelt leaving Roosevelt open to through traffic. The actual parade will begin at 10:30 and proceed East on Wilshire all the way to Cornell where we will turn around and head back to end at the Downtown Plaza.
The parade is a leisurely ride approximately 1.5 miles total. We ask that all participants please pace along with the parade. For those riding E-bikes please keep the same pace. The Fullerton Police Department is providing motor support to keep us safe and block intersections so please follow their directions. Parents please keep track of your kids to ensure their safety.
This parade is a non political event designed to bring together community. That has always been the heart and soul of this parade and I ask that it remain that way. Please join us with that intention. Leave your politics at home and come enjoy the day with community.
There are many great places to view the parade including any of the sidewalks along Wilshire Avenue, Ford Park The downtown Plaza and this year we will be going in front of Fullerton Brew Company, their patio would be an amazing place to enjoy it.
So decorate those bikes and come out and enjoy what makes Fullerton such a great place, a diverse and loving commmunity of people.
