Beginner Friendly Silversmithing Class!
This class will be held in Billings and instructed by Montana Artist and Silversmith Meagan Anderson. The location is near Shiloh Rd and Central Ave; the address will be shared via email following sign-up. *No auditors or guests will be allowed in the workspace during class time.*
The cost of this Beginner Level Silversmithing Class (235) includes a silversmithing toolkit rental, all silver needed to complete the ring, and a stone to set.
You will learn hands-on during this class as you practice soldering techniques, build a bezel to fit your stone, attach it to a ring (or two) you made yourself, and set a stone in it. You will first make two sterling silver bands, and choose between the two styles shown in this listing: A setting on a single band with a stacker, or a double band style. Afterwards you get to take home a sterling silver ring you’ve made entirely yourself!
READING GLASSES are probably a good thing to bring if you ever use them (even if you only occasionally use them for projects sometimes…bring them!).
Also please bring a sack lunch, snack, or make arrangements for a meal, as we will break from about 1 to 1:30 for lunch.
All materials needed to complete the class are provided, and you can bring a stone of your own to set, choose from stones included in the price, or purchase a high-grade stone from SPCS inventory.
