A charming musical based on Miklós László's Parfumerie, which inspired The Shop Around the Corner, In the Good Old Summertime, and You’ve Got Mail. From the creators of Fiddler on the Roof, it’s a hidden gem ready to become your next favourite musical.
Set in a 1930s Budapest perfume shop, it follows Georg and Amalia, coworkers who constantly clash but unknowingly fall for each other as anonymous pen pals. Each dreams of true love, unaware it’s right in front of them. Their romance unfolds through witty banter, misunderstandings, and heartfelt songs, while quirky colleagues face their own romantic ups and downs.
Presented by Miranda Musical Theatre Company, directed by patron Geraldine Turner OAM, with Kate Maree Hoolihan assisting and musical direction by Jonah Eskander.
