5th Sunday - Vanessa Adams-Harris will speak today. Rev. Davis will be back with us in July. We have been having interesting conversations around On Freedom by T. Snyder. He reminds us that there is freedom from and freedom to. That we are either moving from or to this understanding of freedom. So, I’m asking the question starting with myself and then moving outward. Do I know…? How my parents met and created our family? How my grandparents met and created a family? How my children met their spouses and began to create? How my friends met and created their family? How we come into being together is fascinating to me and from this coming together we try to find meaning, purpose and relevance. What is creation to you? What do you understand freedom to be? Civil discourse promotes social harmony, or at least it should when we allow the harmony of our melodies to happen. We are here to listen, learn, and reflect.
