French Art Deco Automobiles

The speed and seduction of Art Deco curves will be explored in a new illustrated presentation on French Automobile design in the Art Deco era. John Roth, formerly of the Mullin Museum will take us on a journey down the roads that led to the delicious design of the era.

Several vintage cars will be available to view, including a French Delahaye. A jazz trio will perform in between the two sessions (the room isn't big enough for all of us at once!) and C.K. Farnsworth will offer vintage style refreshments for sale!

From the strategic, investor driven demands that set the stage for the coachbuilt Delahayes to the mortality driven decisions motivating Andre Citroen, to the changes in global economics that ultimately ended the era, we'll gain insight into the unique convergence of demand, design and engineering incubating the Art Deco movement.

All this will be at Hagerty Social in Van Nuys.
