He was honored with a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award for his groundbreaking work as part of Simon and Garfunkel and was inducted into the Rock n' Roll Hall of Fame both as a member of Simon and Garfunkel and as a solo artist. Additionally, he is a member of the Songwriters Hall of Fame, where he received the prestigious Johnny Mercer Award.
