2025 National Tree Day

For GULLG's fourth consecutive National Tree Day event we are partnering with the Glenlyon and District Pony Club for a planting morning at the Glenlyon Recreation Reserve.

The focus of this year's event is to plant the next generation of local native trees, shrubs and grasses amongst the ageing trees in the central part of the reserve.

Whilst we will be planting some new trees, shrubs and grasses this year, our focus will also be on maintaining the plantings from previous years to ensure these plants continue to thrive.

When: 27/07/2025 from 10:00am to 12:00pm with a BBQ lunch as a thankyou to all volunteers.

Where: Planting will occur within the Glenlyon Recreation Reserve.

What to Bring: Volunteers should wear sturdy footwear and protective clothing dependent on the weather. You are welcome to bring along gloves and any planting tools, however there will be a limited supply available. GULLG will provide the plants, mulch, water, guards and stakes.

To assist with catering, please RSVP by replying to the email, if you would like to attend.
