Pulsing rhythms from ancient tribal instruments build the excitement as the dynamic artists of Les Ballets Africains burst onto the stage in an explosion of dance and song. Les Ballets Africains is recognized in its role of cultural ambassador, carrying with them the moves and music of their culture, the pride and aspirations of their people, and the stories of their homeland. Following Guinea’s independence from France in 1958, the dance became the country’s national ensemble. Whether in Sydney, Paris, London, Rio, Berlin, Tokyo, Moscow , New York, Chicago, or Los Angeles, their high energy performances always receive tumultuous applause.
