Kali Malone at Cathedral of St. Michael & St. Gudula | Abrupt x Bozar x Botanique

After a standout first edition, Abrupt returns to Brussels this October, sharper, more focused, and more connected to the tensions shaping sound and culture than ever.

From 8 to 12 October, Abrupt unfolds across a series of distinctive venues in Brussels. The festival presents a curated selection of live performances, club nights, talks, and gatherings, each one tuned to the shifting frequencies of a hyperdiverse musical landscape.

Organised by the non-profit behind Reset, the temporary brutalist cultural space in central Brussels, Abrupt reflects the organisation’s broader commitment to independent artistic creation.

Kali Malone’s performance at the Cathedral of St. Michael & St.Gudula will feature select compositions from her critically acclaimed albums All Life Long and The Sacrificial Code adapted for the Grenzing great organ.

The Cathedral of St. Michael and St. Gudula in Brussels is a Gothic masterpiece with origins dating back to the 9th century. Its twin towers, intricate sculptures, and stunning stained glass windows, particularly by Bernard van Orley, highlight its architectural grandeur. Inside, the cathedral features an impressive organ built by Gerhard Grenzing.
