Join us in celebrating the 17th mural of the Alley Art Project that celebrates places of collective memory in our community. Witness the unveiling of the mural, meet the student artists and designers, and check out the latest mural up close.
The Rockwell Museum in collaboration with the High School Learning Center (HSLC) of the Corning-Painted Post Area School District worked with Teaching Mural Artist, Shawnee Rebekah Morning Dove Hill, to design the latest Alley Art Project mural. The 2025 mural vividly emphasizes the connection between humans and colors in nature, as well as the meaningful memories tied to a sense of place. Inspired by Teresa Baker’s Yellow Prairie Grass work of art in The Rockwell Museum’s collection, the mural is an abstract expression of color connected to our regional and seasonal landscape in upstate New York.
The 2025 Alley Art Project is generously supported by Mary Spurrier, The Triangle Fund, The Swindells Family Fund, the Community Foundation of Elmira-Corning and the Finger Lakes, Connors Mercantile, First Heritage Federal Credit Union, PINOVA Wealth, Selected Members of The Rockwell Museum Board of Trustees, and the Executive Director.
