Okeene’s Annual 4th of July Festivities

For years Okeene has had great activities planned for the 4th of July and this year is no different. Start the afternoon by cooling off from the summer heat at the Okeene Public Pool with the FREE swim from 1-5pm. The swim races and money dive will start at 5pm. Then head over to the park for the hamburger and hotdog cookout sponsored by the Okeene Volunteer Firefighters Association. Donations are greatly appreciated! We will begin turtle registration at 6:30pm and the races will begin at 7pm. After the turtle races we will have foot and bike races at the old baseball field. Don’t forget to bring your blanket and lawn chairs to kick back and watch the firework show at dusk. The 4th of July activities are sponsored by the Okeene Kiwanis and the Chamber of Commerce. We hope you decide to spend the day with all of us in Okeene!
