Join us on Saturday, October 18, 2025, as we celebrate the legacy of the Honey Bun, a local icon since 1953, responsible for supporting thousands of jobs in London at Flowers Foods, formerly Griffin Pie Company.
Honey Bun Day will be celebrated all over town at restaurants, shops, the London Community Center, and Town Center Park in downtown London. Special events include an Arts & Makers Market, live music, food trucks, a Taste the Buns Honey Bun Food Challenge, a Truck Show on Main Street, and will culminate with an attempt to set a record for the most people eating a honey bun simultaneously. In the days leading up to Honey Bun Day, local restaurants and eateries will feature special menu items made with honey buns.
The highlight of the day will be an attempt to set a record for the most people eating a honey bun at the same time. Participants in the record attempt will be entered to win a cash prize! Each participant will be given a numbered card and winning numbers will be chosen at random.
Additionally, all folks who visit the Arts & Makers Market at the London Community Center will be given a bonus card, increasing their odds of winning! More specific information will be released as the event approaches on www.HoneyBunDay.com.
