Phra Goh Adhibalo (Phra is a salutation for monks) from Wat Palelai. He was ordained in 2008 at the age of 23 in Malaysia after completing his National Service, making him one of Singapore’s youngest monks.
From as early as primary school, being a monk had always been on his mind. He thought this was because of the many events occurring in his life which reinforced how transient life was. As he entered secondary school, meditation retreats were something he looked forward to annually and it was during one of these retreats that he realised the monastic lifestyle was the one for him.
He has been at Palelai Buddhist Temple, Singapore ever since and is looking forward to sharing more about his spiritual journey.
