Kenneth Lynn Herman, aged 71, passed away peacefully on March 13, 2025, at his residence in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Born on February 23, 1954, in Decatur, Indiana, he was the beloved son of the late Paul and Juanita Herman. A proud alumnus of South Adams High School, Kenneth graduated in 1972, laying the foundation for a life characterized by dedication and hard work. His professional journey led him to Berne Apparel, where he served as Plant Manager for several years, earning the respect and admiration of his colleagues. He continued to work in the textiles industry after leaving Berne Apparel Company. Kenneth's faith was a cornerstone of his life. He was an active member of the Church of the Highlands in Madison, Alabama, where he found community and spiritual fulfillment. He is survived by his daughters, Jessica (Lou) Lopez of Huntertown, IN, Courtney (Paul) Gille of Michigan, sons, Eric (Ashley) Herman of Winter Garden, FL; Lynn (Shannon) Herman, Berne, IN; brother, Mike (Janey) Herman of League City, Texas, and 11 grandchildren. Kenneth was preceded in death by his sister Connie Allen.
Throughout his life, Kenneth exemplified kindness, integrity, and a steadfast commitment to those he loved. His legacy is one of warmth and unwavering support, leaving an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of knowing him. As we bid farewell to Kenneth, we celebrate a life well-lived and find comfort in the memories he leaves behind. A private Celebration of life will be held at Lake Wawasee in Syracuse, IN. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, Shriners Children’s Hospital or Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. Arrangements entrusted to D.O. McComb and Sons Pine Valley Park Funeral Home 1320 E. Dupont Road Fort Wayne, IN.
