NEW YORK SAFE BOATING CLASS
The Cortland County Sheriff’s Office will be hosting a New York State Safe Boating Course on July 12, 2025 at the Cortland County Regional Training Center, located behind the Cortlandville Fire Station, 999 Route 13 Cortland, NY 13045. Space is limited for this one-day course, so register today. The course has a start time of 8:00 AM.
Due to recent changes in New York’s Boating Laws, a Safe Boating Certificate is required for all operators of motorized vessels including personal watercraft, regardless of age. All registrants for this event must be 10 years of age by July 12, 2025.

This course is sponsored by the New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation, and is being offered locally by the Cortland County Sheriff’s Office. No lunch will be provided, although there will be a lunch break given.
