Join us on July 6th to celebrate Viola Desmond Day! On behalf of Viola Desmond’s birthday, July 6th has been proclaimed by the Mayor of the Halifax Regional Municipality as Viola Desmond Day.
From 2-4pm there will be a celebration at Sullivan’s pond. Enjoy music by Ced, Marty and Dave, cake and refreshment, and a celebration of Viola Desmond’s legacy.
Ced, Marty and Dave deliver a bucket full of the Blues. Winners of the ECMA Bucky Adams Memorial Award - African Canadian Performers of The Year (2017) and the ANSMA Emerging Artist and Rising Star Awards (and nominated for many other awards over the years), they not only know the Blues, the Ballads, and the R&B classics intimately; they share that knowledge with artistry, talent, and heart-felt passion.
