Manet's Final Flowers - Still Life with Roses and Tulips
Advertisement
We continue our Last Flowers of Manet series with "Still Life with Roses and Tulips in a Dragon Vase" from 1882. When Edouard Manet was 49 he knew he was dying. He continued working but on a smaller scale than most of his work. Over the last months of his life he painted a series of small exquisite still lifes....mostly bouquets brought to him by friends who visited him while he was sick. We'll paint this one on Sunday, July 27th at 2 pm.
Over the next year we will explore Manet's last paintings and recreate them. Replicating famous painters work improves and teaches us a variety of skills. Join us on this journey to explote Manet's final works at these Famous Painter sessions.
