Reimagining the Textile Industry
Our speaker Katie Boyce will explore the current state of the textile industry and fast fashion, factors that led us to this point, and opportunities to address existing environmental and social issues in the space. She'll look at these components from a systems perspective, considering various aspects from production and labor practices to consumption rates to where all of these garments and textiles go at their end of life, and ultimately, what we can do to address these issues.
Our speaker, Katie Boyce, is a Park Ridge Native and consultant at ClimeCo, an environment commodities and sustainability consulting firm. At Presideo Graduate School she focused her studies on sustainability in the textile industry.
