K'ilu presents “As If You Were There”: Bringing Jewish Stories to Life - LOMED Back-to-School Event

How can you bring Jewish stories to life in the ECC, day school, and religious school classroom to life through theater and play? This hands-on workshop, led by award-winning Jewish artist-educator and author Jonathan Shmidt Chapman, will offer a range of techniques in the foundations of immersive theater, sensory storytelling, and imaginative play, while also unpacking how they can be utilized in the Jewish classroom. Participants will discover a variety of artistic tools that can be used across the curriculum to activate a story. Together, we’ll explore how to make Jewish tradition more accessible and dynamic for young learners and their families through theater and creative play. Kosher dinner will be served at 5:30pm.
