Tie-on pockets were a staple of women’s clothing until the late 19th century. Join me for some calm, mindful hand stitching as you make your own beautiful and useful historically-inspired pocket to wear every day. No more dropped or misplaced phones!
In Part 1 we’ll explore the history of pockets, looking at images and real-life examples that I’ve made. You’ll also begin sewing your own, starting with the main body of the pocket.
Suitable for all levels of confidence - I’ve made hundreds of tie-on pockets and will guide you every step of the way.
Part 1 costs £22 and includes all materials, equipment and a choice of fabric.
Part 2 (booked separately) costs £22 and includes all equipment and a choice of decorative materials, plus a pattern and instruction booklet so you can make even more pockets at home, by hand or sewing machine.
