Blind and partially sighted adults are invited to join a new art group at The Amelia Scott, with opportunities to explore collections through touch, sound and imagination. Led by artist Wendy Daws, who specialises in working with people with sight loss.
The sessions last for 2 hours and are held in The Artist Residency Studio at the Amelia Scott.
They run monthly on the last Friday of the month between 10:30am to 12:30pm.
What to expect:
Object Handling; Closely examine museum objects, guided by museum staff.
Tactile Tours; sensory tours around the museum galleries, exploring textures, shapes and stories.
Creating Artwork; Opportunities to create your own artwork inspired by the museum collections.
No experience needed.
