Monarch Larva Monitoring Program

Join the Monarch Larva Monitoring Project (MLMP) at Lums Pond and help us track the life cycle of one of nature’s most iconic pollinators! Work with park staff to observe and record monarch butterflies at every stage of life – from egg, to larva, to adult – right here in our park’s meadows.
We’ll teach you how to properly identify each stage, and we’ll monitor together as a group on a weekly basis throughout the summer.
No experience necessary – just a love of nature and a willingness to learn!
Interested? Email Alexis Cervantes directly at YWxleGlzICEgY2VydmFudGVzIHwgZGVsYXdhcmUgISBnb3Y=
Help us protect pollinators and contribute to real citizen science research!
