MARATHON MOW TOW

On Saturday the 23rd of August, Richard Holt, President of Bolting Ahead, will take on an extraordinary challenge - towing a ride-on lawn mower for a full marathon distance of 42.2km to raise funds for Bolting Ahead and Backyard Bolters.
Kicking off and finishing at the Moreton Bay Food and Wine Festival on Sunday 24th August, Richard’s “Marathon Mow Tow” is more than just a physical feat - it’s a bold statement about what’s possible when we back inclusion and believe in the power of purpose.
Funds raised from the event will go directly toward upgrading equipment for the Backyard Bolters social enterprise, and launching the Backyard Bolters Academy - a new program that will equip the next generation of young people living with disabilities with the skills, confidence, and support to move into meaningful employment.
Building on his 2023 Bolt to Borough journey, Richard is once again pushing the boundaries of what’s possible - physically and socially. And to up the ante, he won’t just be towing the 200kg mower - someone will be riding it the entire way to help steer, adding both weight and complexity to an already gruelling challenge.
Join us in supporting Richard as he powers every step toward opportunity, inclusion, and change.
