Come and have your say and express your thinking with others!
No previous knowledge or experience of philosophy required.
Please note this is not a lecture! It is a group discussion, lead by an experienced philosophy facilitator.
Bookings not required.
About the facilitator:
Andy started loving and studying philosophy 25 years ago. He's been lucky enough to have been teaching it for 10 years and facilitating public philosophy sessions (his greatest joy now) for over 5 years. He loves hearing all the wonderful, amazing and weird ideas that come from sessions like this and seeing the beautifully respectful ways that people communicate their deepest thoughts in public.
What to expect:
In this session, You'll do a quick conversational warm-up, Andy will introduce you to a few basic ground rules and then you'll discuss your ideas, questions and disagreements with the group. In the last ten minutes, you'll be asked to sum-up your biggest takeaway or highlight from the session (and normally, we'd pick a question for the next session). Andy will record ideas, ask for clarification if needed and keep the discussion on-track (it's not a lecture!).
