Some tools used in the 18th/19th century to process sheep’s fleece into yarn for spinning are still in service today! We will get to see them in action and discuss options available to spinners, weaver’s and dyers of days gone by.

The history of the sheep boom in New England reflected the economic pressures of the times. Cloth production increased when exports were restricted. We will look at a local business that thrived here in Raymondtown to meet demands of the community.
