Join us for Coffee & Conservation, a free monthly event series hosted by SUP Englewood at the Englewood Chamber of Commerce. This month weβre excited to welcome Kate Rose of the Florida Sea Grant - Charlotte County Extension Office.
Topic: This timely educational talk will be led by Katherine βKateβ Rose, UF/IFAS Florida Sea Grant Extension Agent for Charlotte County. The program will unpack one of Floridaβs most well-known environmental concerns, red tide. Kate will address commonly asked questions about these blooms, including what causes them, how they affect wildlife and human health, and what management and mitigation strategies are underway across Florida.
This is a great opportunity for nature lovers, paddlers, and families to connect, learn. Kate is offering tools to help residents and visitors better understand and respond to these events.
