YOU'RE INVITED:
Slow Food Noosa is inviting you to join us at a free afternoon tea celebration and meeting with our hard-working committee and some of our Snails of Approval recipients to hear about our exciting projects and see where you’d like to get more involved.
Our most recent Snail of Approval recipient, Angela Wright of Fairhill Nursery, has offered to host this meeting in the large, airy area beside the newly opened shop and farm shop.
PLEASE RSVP: RSVP: c2VjcmV0YXJ5IHwgc2xvd2Zvb2Rub29zYSAhIGNvbSAhIGF1 by Monday, 30th June, 2025
BACKGROUND
Slow Food Noosa is at an important milestone in our journey where we have some fantastic opportunities and ongoing projects we hope to support into the future have come to us in abundance! But we need your help!
The guiding pillars of Slow Food, “Good, Clean, Fair” are already being expressed in so many ways in our community.
We have regenerative and organic food growers, education of the younger generations through our “Snail Kids” program, food processors, food artisans and celebrations of good food in our warm and social get togethers. To top it off, we send local food professionals, like those listed above, to the bi-annual Slow Food international conference in Italy, Terra Madre.
You could say the current committee of volunteers is punching well above our weight!
Before we let growing opportunities and the vision of Slow Food Noosa be affected by limited resourcing (us – the volunteers!), we would like to see who is out there and might accept our invitation to become more involved and active to help achieve the agenda before us.
Importantly, you would be helping to shape and grow Slow Food Noosa to reflect the incredible growing population and potential for Sunshine Coast, Noosa and our hinterlands
