We walk at 10am.- but we'd love you to arrive by 9.45am to sort out your name tag, be part of the group photo, and generally catch up with friends old and new!

FREE community meet-up. BYO water to drink and sun-safe/weather-appropriate measures.

We walk and talk about life - the good bits and the challenging bits, taking in the picturesque riverside walk. Afterwards, you can enjoy a sausage sanga made with sausages from Penrose Prime Meats and bread from Bakers Delight Shopping World.

WHO IS IT FOR? Everyone in the Tamworth community and region, of all ages, families, children, and visitors are welcome. There is easy wheelchair and pushchair access. Socialised pets on a lead are permitted (BYO poo bag).

WHERE? Meet at the yellow Walk 'n' Talk banner set-up on the Bicentennial Park side of Hopscotch ‘Tamworth Regional Playground’ (opposite the big slide), Kable Avenue.

WHAT TO EXPECT? A friendly welcome, free t-shirt for the adults... chat, laughter, to meet people, and a free sausage sizzle after the walk.

Walk, stroll, scoot or bike ride the picturesque ‘Peel River Walk’ starting from the yellow Walk 'n' Talk banner up to, and over, the Jewry St bridge crossing and back along the river on the sports fields side to the foot bridge into Bicentennial Park, taking approx. 1 hour at your own pace.

PARKING: Park along Kable Avenue, Bicentennial Park White Street car park, or on the south side of Gipps St car park.

PLEASE NOTE: Sometimes Facebook can glitch and change event dates or times, so below are the event start times (the second Sunday of each month)...

Cool weather: April to August - 10am start time (arrive 9.45am)
Warm weather: September to March - 9am start time (arrive 8.45am)

Walk 'n' Talk for Life is an active group of caring people who want to make a difference with mental health and make sure everyone has a safe space outside their own four walls in our community.

Walk ‘n’ Talk for Life events are run by volunteers in NSW and QLD cities and towns, initiated by Mr Shannon Nevin, to bring people together and support each other through hardship, especially to help prevent suicide.
