Summer Place Theatre, Naperville's Community Theatre since 1966 Proudly opens its 2025 Season with LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS!
About the Show:
A deviously delicious Broadway and Hollywood sci-fi smash musical, Little Shop of Horrors has captured the hearts of audiences for over 30 years. With music by Alan Menken and book and lyrics by Howard Ashman (Disney's The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, and Aladdin), this irresistible hit follows meek floral assistant Seymour Krelborn as he discovers a mysterious plant he names "Audrey II" after his crush. The R&B-singing carnivore promises fame and fortuneβat a gruesome cost. As Seymour feeds the plantβs growing appetite for blood, he soon uncovers its alarming plans for global domination!

About Summer Place Theatre
Summer Place Theatre got its start back in 1966, founded by Donald "Doc" Shanower, then Dean of Theatre at North Central College. Originally created to keep students active and their acting skills sharp over the summer months, Summer Place has grown into a long-standing Naperville tradition.
Today, Summer Place Theatre is a 501(c)3 non-profit, volunteer-supported community theatre based in Naperville. Our mission is to provide:
-A supportive and collaborative environment for artists
-High-quality, culturally enriching entertainment for the community
-Educational opportunities for all ages through mentoring and performance-based participation
