A fun dance from Angola and Cabo Verde, Kizomba is perfect for dancers of all levels. It looks similar to tango with the emphasis on moving to the music and not necessarily patterns. Basic steps will be covered every week before we start playing with fun combinations and connections to build confident dancers.
We will emphasize steps, lead/follow connection and moving with the music.
We will not force a romantic or sensual dance (that is up to you and your partner) and we ask that you are respectful of each other's boundaries.
When:
Thursdays | 8-9pm
Cost:
$15 per Class or $120 for 3 Months
Where:
Arctic Academie de Danse
4240 Old Seward Hwy #14
We rotate partners during class, so no partner is required. You are not obligated to rotate if you have a partner you'd like to learn with :)
ALL levels are welcome.
No outside shoes. Socks are a great alternative!
