🚶♀️On this walk, we will explore The Pines Flora & Fauna Reserve, 3km north-east of Frankston. The main entrance is accessed from Ballarto Road, Carrum Downs.
🥾The reserve’s trails are made up of a variety of gravel and sand
surfaces. You will get to hike through the peaceful dunes surrounding remnant heathland and low-lying woodlands, where over 210 indigenous flora species have been found. Swamp wallabies can sometimes be seen bounding through the scrub at and echidnas scurrying through the undergrowth.
Generally considered an easy route, it will take us around 2 - 2.5 hours to complete this walk.
