Oh, Tulsa! Workshop Series: Drawing Botanicals in Color with Cheryl Roach!

This mixed media technique for creating stunning botanical and floral illustrations employs pen, colored pencils, and ink, offering students diverse methods to produce vibrant floral artworks that can exist as standalone pieces. Participants will explore the development of their drawings by applying various tones of colored ink, emphasizing mark-making and the creation of a “line wash” akin to painting. Additionally, there will be opportunities to experiment with more fluid, gestural drawings using colorful liquid inks. Students will have the chance to work independently to finalize their own unique drawings.
