Hello everyone! As discussed at this monthβs Dalt Lake County ARES meeting, we are asking for assistance with the Taylorsville Dayzz 5k and parade on June 28th. The 5k begins at 7:00am and the parade begins at 9:00am.
We are asking for everyone wanting to help with the 5k to arrive at Valley Regional Park located at 5100 S 2700 W, Taylorsville, UT 84129 at 6:00am to get assignments, go over procedures, and give you time to get to your assigned locations before the race begins at 7:00am. We will meet at the race start/finish line behind the Taylorsville Pool. If you are willing to stay and help with the parade following the 5k, we will have you transition to your assigned parade location immediately following the 5k.
The parade will begin at 9:00am, and if you are only assisting with the parade, we ask that you meet at the location of net control on a little knoll just east of the St. Marks Emergency Center located at 2700w and 5400s. Please be there no later than 8:00am to receive location assignments and instructions.
The primary frequency we plan to use is the simplex frequency on 146.420. We will use the linked repeater system on 146.740 (-) Tone 114.8 and 448.100 (-) Tone 114.8 as our backup frequencies at the discretion and direction of net control.
We appreciate your willingness to assist us with this event, and we look forward to seeing you at the event!
