Twin Cities locals Audrey Q and Cassandra Johnson split a bill at Padraigs to celebrate the release of Audrey's first full album! (free show, tips encouraged)
Audrey Q writes off-kilter, classically-informed pop songs for her own voice, 3 cellos, and drums. Her songs range from dark, sparse meditations to sunny, catchy bops. Her credits as a cellist include touring with big productions like Hamilton and The Who, but as a songwriter sheβs happy playing house shows and neighborhood bars. Audrey is joined by Patty Ryan and Rosa Thompson-Vieira on cellos, as well as Dave Power on drums.
Cassandra Johnson is a singer/songwriter and self taught guitarist who found her way to St. Paul from the prairies of Western North Dakota. She has blended her influences of indie, jazz, country-folk, and soul into a cohesive sound all her own. She elevates her moving melodies and autobiographical lyrics with rich guitar arrangements so that every song feels like a little world unto itself.
