JEFFERY BROUSSARD was 8 years old when he debuted on drums in his father's band, Delton Broussard and the Lawtell Playboys. In the decades since, Jeffery Broussard has been a torchbearer for zydeco, influencing young musicians with a traditional Creole music he learned decades ago with and leading the next generation of sound with Jeffery Broussard and Robbie Robinson's Zydeco Force. Jeffery Broussard & The Creole Cowboys pack the floor with renditions of Creole Classics and Americana.
T MARIE AND BAYOU JUJU channel Ancestral and Next Generation South Louisiana Sounds… The band serves up a fresh take Cajun, Creole, Lala, Zydeco, Swamp Pop, and Nola R & B traditionals and rhythms along with new original songs imbued with that good juju from the bayou. Check out their albums featuring everything from singing a cappella in an empty cathedral, to the sweaty dancefloors of dive bars, to a seven piece band live from a festival on the banks of the Mississippi River. This band promises a haunting taste of Louisiana past and present, and delivers an eclectic mix that stirs every chakra.
DANCE LESSONS - T Marie's earliest memories are of toddling on the dance floor of the ville Platte civic center and watching her Momon Rose dance to KVPI. She couldn't stand cajun music ... until she started sneaking into dancehalls at age 17 and asking the oldest fellas on the dancefloor to teach her some moves. We'll give you a taste of South Louisiana dance moves including waltz, two step, and turns!
