"The Rest I Make Up" chronicles a decade-long creative collaboration with visionary playwright María Irene Fornés after she stopped writing due to Alzheimer’s disease. Together, Memran and Fornés discovered that a camera could pick up where the pen left off. The film premiered at the Museum of Modern Art in New York City, was named one of “The Best Films of 2018” by Richard Brody in The New Yorker, and continues to screen worldwide.
Panelists will examine the intersections of identity, creativity, and brain health. Panelists include UCSF faculty and staff:
