The Jackie Robinson West Little League is honored to have been chosen to host the Central Region Little League Urban Initiative Jamboree at Jackie Robinson Park, taking place from June 27th to 29th.
The event will feature ten Majors Division teams (ages 9-12) from Illinois, Indiana, and Wisconsin.
Games will commence on two fields Saturday at 10am and conclude at 7:30. The Jamboree will resume play Sunday morning culminating in a championship game on Sunday afternoon.
A special on-field reunion and presentation will be held on Saturday afternoon to commemorate the 45th anniversary of the 1980 JRW Senior League World Series team.
Salute to the Chicago White Sox for welcoming all of the participanting players and their volunteer coaches to Friday’s game vs the San Francisco Giants.
This is the perfect weekend to to come out to JRW Park to support the kids and enjoy a weekend full of Little League Baseball.
“Established in 1999, the Little League Urban Initiative aims to provide opportunities for underserved communities to benefit from local Little League programs, impacting tens of thousands of children and volunteers nationwide.
