You are invited to The Art of Slowing Down to Save Our Lives – a live performance / participatory activation of the FORT REST installation, part of BRIGHT LIGHT HABITS, a group show by the Converge artists ( https://www.facebook.com/share/16rPgkDSMT/)
Lead Artist, Paul Walker and collaborating artists, Geraldine Balcazar and Tora Crockford will be your ‘Pillows’ during your stay – space holders who will guide you into a restful state and support discussions around the project and its themes.
This sanctuary of softness, slowness, and dreaming will be a drop in quiet space that you can engage with at a time that suits you and stay for as long as you like. It will include various interactive zones – The Rest Nest, Pillow Mountain, breathwork, bodywork, drawing, slow sewing, tea station, and sensory prompts - each designed to support nervous system regulation and collective rest.
Wear comfortable clothes to move around and take a nap in. Light refreshments will be provided.
Please refrain from attending if you are feeling unwell or experiencing any symptoms of COVID.
The Art of Slowing Down to Save Our Lives is proudly funded by NSW Government through @CreateNSWOfficial and the NSW Reconstruction Authority, through the Converge program, an initiative by @LismoreCityCouncil.
