� URGENT: COMMUNITY PROTEST – TUESDAY 1 JULY at 12PM �

Hi neighbours,

I’m Marina, the owner of The Big Friendly Coffee in Barking Park. I’m heartbroken to share that the council is forcing us to close the café without public explanation, despite no lease breaches and huge community support.

This café has been more than just a business — it’s been a space for families, elderly residents, and children with additional needs to feel safe, welcome, and connected.

� We’re holding a peaceful protest on Tuesday, 1st July 2025 at 12:00 PM
� Outside Barking Town Hall (Clockhouse Ave, IG11 7LU)
� Local press and radio will be there — we need your voices!

We’re asking for:
• A clear explanation from the council
• Transparency about what will happen to the space
• A say in what happens in our own park
