Forester Led Walk at Silver Lake Woods

Charlie Hancock, Franklin County Forester, will lead a walk in Silver Lake Woods and present the goals of the newly revised Forest Management Plan and the proposed logging at the property. The plan's goals are to:
- To encourage a diverse and resilient forest;
- To protect biodiversity, creating and enhancing habitat for all native plant and animal species;
- To provide public recreational opportunities;
- To demonstrate ecological forest management.
