Duos is the name of The Hague Art Circle's annual member presentation this summer. The theme is: “Keep it simple”.
Members of the departments of Visual Arts/Design & Architecture, Literature, Theatre, Film and Music have been asked to create work in duos or small groups. All disciplines are involved in the exhibition. The artworks can be seen in all the halls.
On 8 August, an evening programme of diverse performances will be held at the Albert Vogel Hall.
With Duos, the focus is on cooperation and involvement of the members among themselves both practically and substantively. Naturally, artistic inspiration is paramount. In conversation with each other, new horizons were explored and own work could be viewed in a new light. Cooperation between members manifests itself in many forms: from working independently to making work together. The forms of presentation are diverse: 2-dimensional, sculptures, installations, performances and performances. It has thus become an innovative member presentation.Duos is called this summer's annual member presentation of The Hague Art Circle.

By collaborating, new horizons will be explored, and unexpected connections will be made. The outcome will demonstrate how art can connect and blur boundaries both between disciplines and among people. The duos and groups will create surprising combinations: black-white, light-dark, heaven-earth, as well as dance, recitation, and music, photography, and film. This collaboration promises a joyful chaos that invites conversation and the discovery of new perspectives.
With DuO’s, we emphasize collaboration and mutual involvement. Practically and substantively: through discussions, new ideas will be explored, and individual work will be viewed in a different light. From working independently to creating art together: the results will be diverse, surprising, and innovative.
