KRAFS is an open collabortive project intended for both skilled and untrained artists. The project is organised by a loosely tied group of artists from different disciplines. The project takes place at The Workshop (is. Verkstæðið) at the National Gallery of Iceland, Fríkirkjuvegur, between June 30th and July 6th. Those interested are encouraged to drop by during gallery opening hours to observe and/or take part. The group's methodology is based on the work of The Scratch Orchestra of the 60's and 70's in the UK. This methodology is summarized in Cornelius Cardew's A Scratch Orchestra: draft constitution, which will be linked in the event discussion. Participants provide ideas and sketches, which are realised by the group during work periods.
