Daniel dedicated himself to fasting and prayer for 21 days. At the end of that time, an angel came to him to deliver a message. Recorded in Daniel 10, the angel explains the demonic power over the kingdom of Persia withheld this heavenly being until Michael, the archangel, came to war with those principalities enabling the breakthrough to get to Daniel with the message. The heavenly being says, “Do not fear, Daniel, for from the first day that you set your heart to understand, and to humble yourself before your God, your words were heard; and I have come because of your words” (Dan. 10:12).
One man’s words can cause the dispatching of angelic warriors and turn the course of life on planet earth. If that is possible through Daniel’s words in prayer, it can be true of ours.
Faith-filled prayers change circumstances, move hearts, and accomplish great exploits. When we pray, there is an attraction of the angelic and a repulsion of the demonic. One word can sum up what prayer can do:
Anything!
