Surrey/Langley SITP - The AI Monster

AI is everywhere these days, but is it a good thing for humanity? Billions are spent, but yet AI models are hallucinating everyday. As more and more false data is added to the net, AI absorbs it, possibly creating as parrot like echo machine. So does AI have a place in society? If you say no, what are your arguments against it? But what if it's easy to use and 99.99% correct?

With fake videos, fake voices and news, is there any justification or good use for AI as it exists today?
