Come along and try your hand at wheel throwing with this taster pottery class in 4124 Greenbank / near Springfield Lakes.
This three-hour ceramics class is an ideal introduction to throwing on the wheel — perfect for complete beginners or those simply needing a refresher!
You’ll learn from a skilled and friendly tutor, who will teach you the basics of throwing on the wheel, including wedging, centering and pulling up the walls to make basic forms, cylinders, bowls, tumblers or planters.
As this pottery class is for small groups (with a maximum of 7 people), you are guaranteed to get all the individual attention you need to help you progress — so don’t worry if this is your first time getting behind the potter’s wheel!
At the end of this pottery class, you’ll have 3 of your own clay creation to keep, some cool new wheel throwing skills and lastly, a newfound addiction to pottery making!

What you’ll get
- Clay for throwing with all required materials and tools involved
- We clean up and trim 3 of your best chosen pieces and bisque fire them
- We glaze them and glaze fire them for you
Please note:
It will take us approximately four weeks from the date of your class to glaze and fire your beautiful work. You will be able to pick up your lovely pot after that time.
What to bring:
– An apron to protect your clothes from splashes
– An old towel
– Wear comfy old clothes
– A notebook
– Please tie long hair back and keep fingernails short
