Join us as the City of Edgewood proudly honors the life, service, and sacrifice of Deputy Dom Calata with a special Street Renaming Ceremony.
On Tuesday, July 8 at 6:00 PM, we will gather at Edgewood City Hall (2224 104th Ave E) to commemorate the official renaming of the 10200 block of 22nd Street East and the 2200 block of 104th Avenue East as “Dom Calata Way.”
Deputy Calata, a devoted husband, father, and public servant, was assigned to the Edgewood Police Department and served our community with unwavering dedication. He tragically lost his life on March 16, 2022, following injuries sustained in the line of duty during a SWAT operation in Spanaway.
This street designation is a lasting tribute to Deputy Calata’s heroism, compassion, and commitment to public safety. By naming the streets in front of City Hall in his honor, we ensure that his legacy continues to inspire and protect generations to come.
All are welcome to attend this meaningful ceremony as we stand together in remembrance and gratitude.
