Meet and Greet with Chincoteague Pony Herd Veterinarian, Allison Dotzel

A time when prospective foal buyers, Chincoteague pony owners, or anyone interested in talking about the ponies can stop by and ask questions about health care and general care. As the herd vet, I’m more than willing to answer any questions about transitioning foals from the island environment to a domestic home (feeding, deworming, vaccinations, etc.). For people thinking about bidding at the auction, we would also be happy to chat about the 2025 foals that will be available for sale and help guide you towards foals that will best fit your needs.

Stoney Creek Chincoteagues offers transportation, training, and long and short term boarding of Chincoteague foals at our farm in Hughesville PA. For the foals that come home with us, I am highly involved in monitoring them while they adjust to domestic life and also offer both routine and emergency veterinary care.
