Halley Elwell is a Medford-based singer-songwriter whose evocative music blends elements of jazz, folk, and pop, drawing inspiration from iconic artists like Laura Nyro, Carole King, and Joni Mitchell. Known for her rich voice and insightful lyrics, Elwell's music has been featured on radio stations across Maine and Massachusetts and recognized by ASCAP and the John Lennon Songwriting Contest. In celebration of Spontaneous Mutation, her latest full-length album, she’ll be joined by the fantastic musicians who joined her on the project: producer-drummer Dave Brophy, James Rohr on piano, James McMahon on bass, and NPR’s 2022 Tiny Desk Contest winner, Alisa Amador on guitar and vocals. Special guest Samantha Farrell opens the show with her “moody fusion of jazz, alt R&B and pop” for an unforgettable gathering of some of Boston’s brightest musicians and songwriters.

Samantha Farrell is a Boston-based musician and vocalist whose sound is a gorgeously moody fusion of jazz, alt R&B and pop. Once described as “the best singer-songwriter you’ve never heard of,” by NBC Los Angeles, Farrell has always been understated in her approach to her music career - but those who are in the know, have been quietly dazzled with her unique voice, rhythmic subtleties and tonal nuance for years.
