In August 2024 Archaeologists from the Dartmor National Park Authority, with others, uncovered a 'stunning' Early Bronze Age cist during excavations at Cut Hill, one of Dartmoor's more remote spots.
DNPA Archaeologist Dr Lee Bray described it as 'stunning' and that their first look inside the prehistoric cist left them 'speechless'.
The cist was carefully and respectfully removed from the moor. It's been taken to a laboratory where it'll undergo micro-excavations so we can find out more.
Come and listen to the latest updates about this significant excavation.
